Seattle doesn't get much snowy, icy weather - but we've got it now. This morning the temperature is 20 degrees in Edmonds. Last night, the Seahawks beat Green Bay - in Seattle - in the snow. They should have been called the Snowhawks.
The driveway to our house is about 90 feet long; it has a pretty steep grade from the front of the house up to the street. This morning it is a sheet of ice.

I knew that my car, with its low profile, uber-wide performance tires would
not do well in these conditions, so I chose to walk up the driveway to catch the bus into town. I arrived at the bus stop five minutes early, then waited nearly 25 minutes for it to arrive... never did.
After shuffling back to the house, I found my boss on Windows Live Messenger: he's iced-in as well. In turn, I've chatted with several other people from work who are finding the conditions too treacherous to drive.
We'll probably stay below freezing all day today, then climb back into the upper-30s on Wednesday.
